UTILITY & TAX BILLS: DUE DATES & RESOURCES

TOWNSHIP NEWS BRIEF

UTILITY & TAX PAYMENTS: DUE DATES & RESOURCES

Good afternoon, Maplewood. A few quick reminders from our Tax Collector's Office:

UTILITY & TAX PAYMENTS

UTILITY PAYMENTS - The 30-day grace period for your sewer/stormwater utility bills ends September 25, 2025. If you want to pay by paper check, we prefer that you send two separate checks: one for your stormwater payment and a second check for your combined other sewer charges.

TAX PAYMENTS - Your final quarterly tax payment of the year is due November 1, 2025, and the 10-day grace period ends November 10, 2025.

HOW TO PAY

AUTOPAY - The easiest way to make both utility & tax payments is with our online AUTOPAY system. You can pay your tax and utility bills by setting up one-time or recurring payments. These electronic payment methods help to avoid late payments, offer increased security against fraud compared to mail, and centralize your bill management in one place.

CHECK OR CASH - You can pay by cash or check (made out to “Township of Maplewood”) in person at our Tax Office, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4:30 pm. We cannot take forms of payments like debit, credit, ApplePay, etc. in person; & we do not have the ability to make change at this time. You may also drop checks or money orders (no cash) in our drop boxes located outside the three Town Hall entrances.  The envelope should have your name, property location, and contact information. Get full details on our website.

PROPERTY TAX RELIEF EVENT

Assemblywoman Garnet Hall & the NJ Division of Taxation are hosting a NJ Property Tax Relief Filing event on September 18, 2025, at the Maplewood Community Center (120 Burnett Avenue), at 1 p.m. This event is open to those 65 and older, and those receiving federal social security benefits. Registration is required.
