The Pool Pal program was created by the Gallo family to help residents who experience economic hardships with obtain a pool membership at a discounted rate. By applying for this, you are agreeing that paying the full price for the Maplewood Community Pool would cause your family a financial hardship.

Complete the form. You can submit it to RecInfo@maplewoodnj.gov or bring completed application with proof of Maplewood residency, photo identification (required), and payment to the Recreation Department located at 574 Valley Street, Maplewood. Checks can be made out to Maplewood Community Pool. Cash must be exact.

If you wish to donate with cash or check, please visit the Department of Community Services at 574 Valley St, Maplewood, NJ 07040. The check can be made to Maplewood Community Pool, and the memo should note Pool Pal donation.

The Maplewood Department of Community Services offers a variety of programs and activities for community residents. Some funds are available each year to assist those residents who can demonstrate financial need and/or hardship.

Completion of an application does not automatically assure an award. Awards depend on availability of funds and are awarded on a first come, first served basis. All information will remain confidential.

To apply:

1. Please review the Eligibility Guidelines and Application Procedure
2. Next, fill out the Recreation Assistance Fund Application. You can fill the form out in your desktop or laptop window or may print and bring or mail your completed application.
   1. If mailing your application, please address it to: Township of Maplewood Attn. Department of Community Services at 574 Valley Street, Maplewood, NJ 07040
   2. If emailing your application, please send it to: recinfo@maplewoodnj.gov. Please include a copy of your identification.

Applicants will receive notification or an update of their status within one week of initial application. For any questions, please contact the Recreation Department at (973) 762-8120.
