The Health Department's Community Resource Guide provides information on local community organizations and social services for individuals and families. Help is available for common concerns related to physical, mental or emotional setbacks due to illness, unemployment, housing or food instability, or a lack of transportation.   • Is The Township Offering Free COVID-19 Testing Kits?

    Periodically, the Maplewood Health Department receives from the State or County a limited supply of COVID-19 Home Test kits. To learn when or if they are available, please check out the Facebook page of the Health Department (https://www.facebook.com/MaplewoodPublicHealth).
  • Where Can I Find The Noise Ordinance?

    The noise ordinance is here.

    To Summarize Main Points:

    1. Radios, TVs, phonographs, live music that are audible at a distance from 100 feet from a building, structure or vehicle should be limited between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
    2. Yelling, shouting, hooting, whistling or singing on public streets which annoys or disturbs the quiet shall be limited between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
    3. Construction, unless the work is being performed by or for the Township, County, or State, is limited to 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday.
    4. Home maintenance, lawn care, vehicle maintenance, or similar services may begin work starting 7:30 AM weekdays and Saturdays starting at 8:00 AM, with work having to be complete by 8:00 PM. No work shall take place before 11:00 AM on Sunday and must cease by 6:00 PM.
