Are you selling or leasing your residence?
A Certificate of Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Alarm Compliance (CSDCMAC) is required before any "Use Group R-3 or R-4" dwelling unit is sold, leased or otherwise made subject to change of occupancy for residential purposes.
Portable fire extinguishers are NO LONGER required in Maplewood to obtain this type of Certificate of compliance.
Payment is made TO THE FIRE INSPECTOR AT THE SITE OF THE INSPECTION on the inspection date. On-line payments are NOT accepted. The ONLY acceptable forms of payment are cash, check or money order. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the "Township of Maplewood".
